Aftercare

Your extensions are an investment. A little care goes a long way in keeping them looking flawless.

The First 72 Hours

Avoid washing for at least 72 hours after application, so the extensions can fully set.

Avoid high ponytails for 48 to 72 hours, so the extensions can fully set.

Brushing

Use a soft-bristle, extension-safe brush at least once a day, even on non-wash days.

Always brush from the ends up, gently holding the bonds or beads at the root to avoid tension.

Avoid twisting or pulling the beads, as this can loosen them prematurely.

Washing and Products

Use lukewarm water when washing nano bead extensions, as hot water can loosen the grip of the beads.

Only use sulphate-free shampoos, as sulphates dry out your extensions.

Avoid oil-based and heavy products directly on the bonds or beads, as this can weaken them over time.

Avoid chlorine water, as it can discolour and damage your hair.

Heat and Drying

Do not air dry your hair.

Avoid excessive heat directly on the bonds.

Always use a heat protectant.

Sleeping

Sleep with your hair in a loose braid or low ponytail, in a silk bonnet, to prevent friction and matting at the roots.

Maintenance Appointments

Tape-Ins

Maintenance should be scheduled every 6 to 8 weeks to keep your extensions secure and comfortable.

Nano Beads

Scheduled appointments every 8 to 10 weeks are vital, as beads shift naturally with your hair growth.

K-Tips

Maintenance for K-Tips is recommended every 4 to 6 months to accommodate your natural hair growth cycle.
